摘要
Abstract
T-cell lymphoma is a rare complication of coeliac disease (CD). Such lymphomas have been characterized by Isaacson et al. as enteropathy-associated T-cell lymphoma (EATL), with the normal cell counterpart being the intraepithelial lymphocyte (IEL).CD is common in the West, but extremely rare in the Far East including Taiwan, where EATL has never been reported. We report the first two cases of EATL from Taiwan. Interestingly, the phenotype of the tumour cells in both cases was different from that of the IELs. Case 1 was a 77-year-old Taiwanese man who experienced acute abdominal pain for 1 day.
Exploratory laparotomy revealed a 70 x 30 mm perforated jejunal tumour
