Five papers (7-3/10) carried stories and pictures on this 2-day event.

2. Pres Woo comments on UGC's proposal to the government to cut 5% of the budget for universities for 1998-2001

In a story on the topic, Sing Tao Daily(9/10) also interviewed Pres Woo.

3. UST academics and RTHK Radio 1's Tomorrow's World Program

Dr Jack Lau of ELEC talked about the future of electronics in this bi-weekly program.
