HKUST TO ORGANIZE AIR POLLUTION SEMINAR
In association with the opening of the CLP Power Wind/Wave Tunnel Facility, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) will present an academic seminar on air pollution this Friday afternoon.
There are two types of air pollution in Hong Kong: acute street level pollution caused mainly by the intensity of vehicle use in the dense urban environment, and ambient air pollution caused largely by Hong Kong sources but also affected by southerly airflow from industrializing Guangdong province. The seminar will examine the modelling, measurement and movement of both types of pollution.
