To equip students with an understanding of current organizational theory and improve their ability to draw on their knowledge and experience to effectively deal with organizational dilemmas in today’s challenging business environment

To acquire a systematic and critical analysis of how organization’s structure affects organizations’ effectiveness and how people behave

This course is about organizations and their design effectiveness. It integrates concepts and models from organization’s theory with changing events in the real world of organizations to provide the most up-to-date view of organizations available. Organization theory is a way to see and analyze organizations more accurately and deeply, it guides students to view organizations from an administrative and sociological perspective, rather than from a psychological or individual basis (this perspective is also given in Organizational Behavior). The course consists of lectures and classroom discussion, as well as presentations on course materials and case study analysis reports.
