Application Package

 Program name: Venture For All®

 Program targets: High school students (aged between 14 and 18) who are interested in learning about Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Innovation, Venture Creation and Business Model Development

 Program dates: August 15^th– August 21^st, 2016 (7 days in total)

 Program time: 9:30‐17:00

 Program location: Hung-tao Building, Mingdao High School, Taichung, Taiwan

 Application: Please go to www.ivyedugrp.org/programs/1/13 and apply online

 Selection methods: 1) CBS application, 6 pages with various short essay questions, and 2) English interview conducted via phone is mandatory

 Successful candidates: CBS will inform successful candidates, along with a Participant Oath that requires the student to sign and email back to confirm.

 Payment: Mingdao High School is to inform individual student to complete the last procedure, payment. The application is on a rolling basis. The earlier a student completes the application procedure, the sooner the student is to be issue a position in the program.

 Application date: Now until July 30^th, 2016

 Student number: Range from 20 to 40 students

 Program fee: US$3,500

 Catering fee: US$150 (Food and refreshments included)

Program Overview

 Program focus:

Venture For All® program content and readings are customized to take into account regional cultures, business practices, market trends, and currencies in order to culture future entrepreneurs.

 Institutions involved in the program:

1) Columbia Business School and Mingdao High School 2) IEG Global Corporation

3) Taichung City Government

 Program description：

Five modules: development, strategy, marketing, financing, and, implementation.

 Program features:

1) College level class experience taught by Columbia University Faculty for 7 full days

2) Students will receive official Columbia Business School certificate of participation and a letter of recommendation from a current teaching Professor that can be included in college application package

3) Parents are invited to join on the final presentation day, and have roundtable discussion with current Columbia Business School Professor

 Miscellaneous items:

Selected student ventures receive post program mentoring and support to help execute their plans.

 Program requirement：

1) Students are required to work hard throughout the Program

2) Students are required to finish the pre‐assignment on a timely basis 3) Students need to bring their own laptop, all assignments will need to be

submitted online through Columbia’s online system

 Program goals:

1) Introduce the entrepreneurial process through practice and experience of learning

2) Establish team building, problem solving, leadership, and communication skills

3) Enable students to learn the basics on engaging business knowledge, management, operations, and financial modelling

4) A community of and for future entrepreneurs and linkages to seasoned enterprise leaders, Columbia Venture For All professors and students, Columbia Business School professors, students, and alumni, and the entrepreneurial network at Columbia Business School

5) Help students to perform extensive research on computer, and complete a presentation using PowerPoint and other additional web‐based programs 6) Complete a full business plan with marketing plans, financial forecasts, and
