-A study on the inheritance ofLiou-yuan's

thoughts by Duan Zhengyuan

Abstract

Duan Zhengyuan and Liou-yuan are separately the founder of the Daode xueshe (Moral studies society) and the folk religion "Liou-men-jiao" in the beginning of the Republican era and in mid-Qing Dynastiy. The relation of them and the inheritance between their thoughts are rarely noticed. This essay based on the concept of Taixu "Daode xueshe was originated from Liou-men", trying to reveal the inheritance of their thoughts by their regional contacts, the contact between Duan Zhengyuan and Liou-men, and studying of Daode xueshe towards work of Liou-yuan " Thoughts of Xue Y ong" , for acquiring further knowledge for the studies ofDuan Zhengyuan and Liou-yuan.
