Discrimination
It is the best generation, and it is the worst generation as well. In the past, it was as close world. Most people couldn’t reveal their own thoughts to the public.
They couldn’t have their own minds. They just followed the government and the lessons from history. They didn’t want to renew their minds and concepts. Until 21th century, we can’t have the rights to express ourselves’ opinions. But there are more and more problems showing up. The most serious one of them is discrimination.
When I was young, I usually held a discriminated view about the homosexual. I thought they were really odd and disgusted. They have both masculine and feminine characteristics at the same time. Although it sounds good, sometimes it may gather the other people’s strange sight. Besides, they break the balance between the nature and people. People who live in the world have a limited life. There is no one that can avoid death. So we should bear children to keep human being’s lives. But, with the number of the homosexual increasing, there are less and less kids in the world. It may not be apparent nowadays, but it will be the most serious problem in the future.
It may probably cause the extinction of the people. So, I have a severe discrimination against them.
Until the summer vacation when I was a nine grade student, I didn’t change my mind about them. In that summer, I saw a warm event which totally converted my thoughts. That summer was very hot. When I walked on the way home, I
encountered the big demonstration for the homosexuals. They were strongly against the discrimination against them. They shouted out their slogan. The meaning I thought is ‘’ Why can’t we have the same rights?’’ ‘’We are almost the same. We just have a difference about whom we love.’’ ’’We are kind people ad all of you. So we should the same rights, too.’’ They fought against the society’s concept. Everyone in the demonstration helped each other. If there was someone hurt or having some problem, all the people surrounding him or she would try their best to reach out to the person who needed the helping hand. It is very valuable in this modern society.
So I think maybe they are the same as us. They really should have what they’re supposed to gain. They are as warm as everyone nowadays, After this event, I changed my discrimination against them. I hope everyone who opposes them and change their mind as well. Although there are still a lot of problems to be solved. The
future will be better.
