The purpose of this study was to understand cancer patients’ life,exploring their subjective experiences when they participated in life review. A qualitative research, phenomenological approach, was used to explore cancer patients’ lived reality of theses experiences. In-depth interview and participant observation were conducted with 7 cancer patients who participated in a life review program. A four-step analysis was followed to obtain meaning units, themes, and structure of the subjective experiences of the research participants.

Findings indicated five major themes penetrate the axis of cancer patients’ subjective experiences named

‘The circulated life vortex’, while participated in a life review program. It involves: (1) the power of self- awareness, (2) perception of the life accompanies death, (3) life meaning emerged or altered, (4) a trusty accompany relationship, (5) the feelings of hope and completion.

This research provided a deep understanding of cancer patients’ life. It is anticipated that the findings from the current study will add to the growing body of knowledge on the provision of spiritual care, and could used as an impetus for change in practice.
