Judy Wong writes books for primary students. She was born in Beijing. Now Judy lives in New York. She has written more than 30 books. She is often on television. Judy is famous.

Judy loved reading alone when she was a child. She did not talk much to her friends and family. But Judy had many dreams. She dreamed of being an actress, a swimmer or even a car racer! In primary school, a teacher asked Judy to write about her dreams. She wrote her first story about a princess in a castle. She has never stopped writing since then.

Today Judy tells stories to her two children. Then she writes the stories down. Her stories become books. Children in Hong Kong and Japan love her stories and they find her books full of love. They also write to Judy to share their feelings about her stories!

Alice is reading a poem.

Read the poem.

My Best Friend and I My friend will come to stay,

We’ll play for two whole days.

We don’t need to go to school,

Saturday and Sunday, wow that’s cool!

We’ll run and run around the house, Then fall on the ground.

And when Mum says, “Bedtime – close the door!”

Under the covers we’ll laugh some more.

We tell each other many secrets, We talk and talk and talk.

We talk of things no one else will ever know, Because we’ll never tell or show.

We have many other friends at school, But we are always called the “twins”.

We always sit and play together, We will be friends, for ever and ever.
