The Research on the Clothing Images of Female Teachers in Elementary Schools 臧家馨、賴瓊琦

ABSTRACT
The dress of the teachers has been discussed frequently in the news lately. This study on the dress of the elementary school female teachers is meant to provide useful suggestions to the teachers. This study is done based on 332 questionnaires collected from the teachers, students and their parents in 6 elementary schools (3 from Changhwa and 3 from Taichung country.) The result shows that the images on the teacher’s dress are different in each group. Out of the 5 dresses in the questionnaires, the combination of dress shirts and skirts is most widely accepted. As to the colors, the light colors are deemed more proper for teachers. The first part of the study discussed about the history of the women’s clothing and it’s role in the society. The second part of the study analyzes the implications and images on the 5 type of dresses. The third part of the study analyzes the data with SPSS and discussed about the effects of the different dress in the class. The forth part of the study researches the historical data and analysis to have more understanding of the elementary school lady teachers’ dresses.
