The development of healthy cities must depend on the efforts from

governments as well as non-government communities. To effectively use

limited resources, precisely control achievements, expand scope and willing for participation and draft future policy goal, the management and application of healthy cities related data should in no way be ignored. From the perspective of spatial information, this paper discusses the use of spatial information system technology on the management, analysis and application of healthy cities data and assesses its influences with implemented spatial information system prototype. By choosing the current Tainan healthy city project as our research subject, we showed that the spatial information system indeed can effectively resolve the problems in the past, where policy decisions were often made with only individual organization data. The developed system prototype proves to be able to provide a more convenient for integrating data from different resources. Nonetheless, we also found that various government organizations still need to constantly improve their capability of taking advantages of spatial information technology in the coming years.
