Comparing advantages and disadvantages with the
deliberative democracy and the representative democracy
1. Preamble
The modern democratic politics is a mode of representative.The citizens elect the administrative staffs and representatives with regular elections.This politics of the democracy must link with party politics. The regular elections usually change to a place whose let the politicians attack to the others.Whe the politicians decide the policy that they consider their interests prior the state’s interests.the politician also don’t know the things what the people want and the state need.The member of Parliament uaually care for their electoral ward and ignore the develop of the state.So the scholars of the politics continue to provide the conception of the deliberative democracy.They hope this conception can solve those problems and expect all of the people have more good life.The deliberative democracy generally claim this
points.First,the citizen have the opportunity to participate in the process of the policy.Second,the government can discuss the policies with the citizen.Third,the policies have more legitimacy because the process of the policy have citizens to
participate. The deliberative democracy is a very new conception that we can try to use it to decide the policy of the state.
2. Introduction
Through the experience of the representative politics.Many scholar think this political form is a elite politics that govern by oligarch and far the people away.The politicians’ behaviors be control with interest groups and don’t argue the policy of the state.So the people must have defferent political region to solve these problems.The deliberative democracy is one of the region to solve the problem of the representative politics.This conception emphasize the people who have effected with the policy that have opportunities to participate the discussion of the process of the policy. The deliberative democracy recognize every one have individual interests,values and notions.But they can pass the community to get common consensus and then get the common good in the society.The deliberative democracy can increase the members to participate the policy decision and in let more issues get controlled in the democracy. The deliberative democracy also can reflect the aspect of the society.It can display the value judgments.It emphasize the person must to listen the opinion of each other.The person participates the deliberative democracy must fit in with the ethics of the community.The deliberative democracy must to agree with three elements.There are inclusive,rationality and legitimacy.The inclusive means that every one effected with
the policy that can participate to decide the policy.The rationality means that resons proposed can get a commom consensus.The legitimacy means that every participians can relize the policy how to tack shape.
3. Rsearch motivation
Taiwan pass through the democratization already twenty years.According to Huntington, Taiwan is the step of democratic consolidation.We should have the good life in the state of the democracy.But is it a truth in Taiwan?What does the politicians do that we look at TV?Fighting and quarreling in the Parliament,corruption,to contend the seat, to trade the seat of the government official.The representatives of the people so as to win an election.they only care for their electoral wards and buy votes to get elected.When they win the election,they just busy to corrupt the money of projects.All of the policy of the state are in the service of the representatives’ interests.In view of these points,we must think different the mode of the politics to make up the lack of the representative politics.The deliberative democracy is an important aspect of the drmocratic process. The deliberative democracy can let citizens participate the process of the policy.The participatians can through reason people down and then change their preference.The policy have citizens to participate.This situation maybe change the representatives only care for their interest.But the deliberative democracy is a new conception.Is it good that we think?We must consider consider this
problems and disvantages.So I think the deliberative democracy maybe have some disadvantages and then we must to observe and study.To compare with the
deliberative democracy and the representative politics is the important point in this paper.
4. Research methods
The theory of democracy practice over two hundred years in the world.It appear in the world because it can solve some problems with feudalism.But the democratic experience practices with the form of the representative politics have more problems in the world.So the scholars of politics propose the deliberative democracy to instead of the representative politics.But every political theory usually hae advantages and disadvantages,the paper’s important point is compare with deliberative democracy and representative democracy. Listing conceptions of theses politics form to analyze there are good or bad.The deliberative democracy is a new conception.When we use the conception to make policy,what difficult do we occur?In this paper I will show the one of the conception of the deliberative democracy that have some problems in the practice.I will show the problems of the representative democracy that needs the
deliberative democracy to recover.In the end,I will present the practice and develop of the deliberative democracy in Taiwan and interpret the development in Taiwan.
Furthermore,I will discuss the political vision for Taiwan in the future.
The scholars of the politics think the political theory that alternative to a political ideal or mend the lack of the real politics.Therefore, the scholars of the politics propose the political theories almost are good.But a new conception was provided not so longer that let people can’t realize immediately.In this situation,it is a problem to practice a new conception or theort.It is circumstance that must to be careful of all the people. 6.Reference:
