復甦城市經濟的力量，從反思自我根本開始，重新認識城市的定位，瞭解發展歷史與洞悉文化命 脈，我選擇從臺北的古文明開始詮釋，使用古今轉化與假借的手法表達，遠看像是古代石碑墨書 拓本，其實近看肌理卻是城市現代的街廓空照圖! 讓人分不清的斑剝紋路到底是歷史的軌跡還是 現代技術的構成? 從十三行、大坌坑、圓山遺址、先陶文化、芝山岩等，這些你沒發現的或者已 經被遺忘的過去，都是堆積充實今日臺北城市復甦的動力！你有多久沒有靜心閱讀這個我們每天 生活的城市，感受它的力量，反思歷史的力量，臺北未來這一步會走得更昂然！ The power to revive the city and the economy is derived from introspection of the self. To reorient the perception of the city, understand the course of its history and gain an insight into the cultural lifeline, I prefer to use contrasts and analogies of the past and the present to interpret Taipei’s ancient civilizations. From a distance, they appear like ancient stele inscriptions; a closer look and they become the streets and blocks of our modern city. Are those mottled lines the traces of a bounteous history or the components of modern architectures? From Shihsanhang, Tapenkeng, Yuanshan, Prepottery Culture, to Chihshan Rock, all these sites with already-forgotten or yet-undiscovered histories have become the motivating forces that contribute to the city’s revival. How long was it since you last observed our daily city with serenity? To feel the power stemming from the introspections of history, Taipei will certainly take a big stride forward, proudly and upright.
