塑膠雙極板組成 PEMFC 燃料電池堆之研究 = A study of using plastic bipolar plates in assembling fuel cell stacks

摘 要

現今質子交換膜燃料電池(PEMFC)的雙極板,主要係以石墨板為材料,利用銑床加工而成,導致雙極板的成本占有燃料電 池生產成本中很大的比重,且雙極板重量亦占燃料電池重量的百分之八十以上。雖然多年來燃料電池界極力研發新的雙極 板技術,但是尚未有良好的解決方案出現。 塑膠材料不具有導電性而且導熱性也不佳,但是具有加工容易、價格低廉的優 勢。本計畫提出一個塑膠雙極板的創新構想:以塑膠射出或熱壓成型的方法製成雙極板本體,再於其表面嵌入金屬條所做 成的『電流收集器』,由該電流收集器結合擴散層共同傳導電流。當其使用於電流密度較低的空氣呼吸式(Air-breathing

)PEMFC時,導電問題應可克服;空氣呼吸式PEMFC,其陰極流道中有大流量的空氣,可提供良好的散熱效果,故塑膠 材料導熱率低的問題亦可迎刃而解。本研究主要係以實作方式完成塑膠雙極板,並組裝成燃料電池堆進行性能測試,藉此 探討此一塑膠雙極板應用於空氣呼吸式PEMFC之可行性。
