Religion)

課程宗旨：比較宗教是宗教研究建立初期時的主要視野，隨著宗教研究理論以及方法的多元發展，為何比較以及如何比較等問題也成為需要進一部反思的課題。在後現代哲學對於差異的關注之中，比較研究受到強烈的質疑，但也有學者從這樣的批判中積極尋找比較研究的新的可能性。本課程將從理解宗教

(understanding religion)、解釋宗教(explaining religion)與批判取徑(critical

approaches in the comparative study of religion)等三個面向來討論比較宗教的相關辯論、理論與方法等議題，並以研究實例的討論來提升博士生對比教宗教研究領域之問題意識以及在地脈絡化思考的能力。

課程要求

(一) 上課前事先研讀當週閱讀指定材料，課中積極參與討論。

(二) 選擇六次上課閱讀資料撰寫兩頁之閱讀報告或是問題，於當週上課時繳交，

並於課堂提出討論。

(三) 期末報告：學期末繳交有關比較宗教主題的報告一篇，字數約為一萬兩千

字，可以是主題研究，或是相關文獻之review。希望同學從期初或期中就開始跟

老師討論預撰寫之主題，期中開始會陸續安排同學在課堂上發表初步構想。

上課方式

每次上課由同學報告當次閱讀指定材料，報告同學同時負責擬定課程討論問題

大綱，每位同學報告時間以不超過20 分鐘為原則。

評分標準

課堂出席與討論：20%

口頭報告（請準備書面摘要）：20%

平時作業：30%

期末研究計劃報告：30%
