M anaging money as a student is hard. Students have to pay for housing, textbooks, tuition, and nights out with friends. If they manage their assets wisely , though, they can be like Steven Ortiz. He started with an old cell phone and ended up with a Porsche!

How did Steven Ortiz do this? He simply traded what he had for something more valuable . One day, Steven decided to exchange an old cell phone on Craigslist.org. He traded his cell phone for an iPod, the iPod for a dirt bike, the dirt bike for a computer, and so on. Steven discovered that people were willing to give unneeded expensive things for less expensive things. Eventually , he got a Ford Bronco, and then he used it to get a Porsche! When he began, he was 15 years old and couldn’t even drive yet. It took him two years and 14 trades to get to the Porsche.

As a student, you must balance money and time, and sometimes you don’t have enough of either. Steven Ortiz’s story teaches us a meaningful lesson: be smart with your possessions , and you might receive a lot more!

史蒂芬決定要把舊手機放到 Craigslist.org 上交換。
