Hemiplegia & Occupational Therapy (II)

 Course Description

This 2-credit-course will enrich students’ knowledge and understanding of

characteristics of hemiplegia and relevant management in occupational therapy. The population of strike will be mainly targeted. Specifically, the pathology, symptoms, prognosis, and evaluation and treatment outcome of people with hemiplegia will be focused and explored. It is to increase the students’ depth of understanding of characteristics of hemiplegia. This will be achieved by the readings and discussion from the updated journal articles.

 Course Objectives

 The students will increase the depth of their understanding regarding the characteristics of hemiplegia.

 The students will perform the ability to analyze the various characteristics of case with hemiplegia, provided in the course, and list the main problems, appropriate evaluation tools or methods.

 The students will try to list the potential treatment goals, plans, and relevant treatment programs, based on the main problems and evaluations outcome listed.

 Grading

 Guiding questions: 8/13 * 5 + 10 (出題者) = 50 %

 Final exam: 15 %

 Presentations: 20%

 Learning Attitude: 15%
