Purpose: The objective measurement was to applications of Rasch analysis in
the holes difficulty of golf course. Methods: It assessed the holes difficulty to use the data of ‘score’ and ‘to par’ separately. Sample: The Life Card ladies golf tournament, April 15-17, 2005. Results: (1) The average difficulty of holes was
assessed by score. Such as its logit was 2.05, 0.04, and -2.79 of the group of par 5, 4,
and 3. That can be separated to three groups obviously, and the more par, the more
difficult the hole is. (2) The average difficulty of holes was assessed by to par.
Such as its logit was 0.40, 0.28, and -0.35 of the group of par 3, 4, and 5. The result
is different from result of score of assessment. Conclusions: Many-facet Rasch
model could measure difficulty of each hole in golf objectively. The difficulty of assessmentmadeby the‘score’and the‘to par’had properuseitself.
