COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Drama represents a major part of the western literary tradition, but unlike the other literary genres, it is a staged art. In other words, we not only read plays as printed words, but also see them performed. In this two-credit elective course, students are given a chance to review literature in this particular form through reading and discussing five modern plays by American playwrights.
