Advanced Chinese for Overseas Chinese Students

In this class you will improve your reading ability (as well as your writing ability) in Chinese by reading some short stories, essays, Chinese idioms, and respond to the reading assignment orally in class and in writing. You are also encouraged to read as much as you can, at a level that is not difficult for you.
In addition to the assigned reading for class discussion, you are required to read on your own outside of class, and write about your reading in your journal. Weak students can talk to me for other alternatives.
