在癌症的傳統治療上，化學療法及放射療法雖然可以殺死癌細胞，但卻也會一併殺死正常細胞；而以外科手術療法進行切除腫瘤時，無法消除殘存 的癌細胞且無法阻止新 關鍵詞：YGK、子宮頸癌細胞、癌細胞逆轉 在癌症的傳統治療上，化學療法及放射療法雖然可以殺死癌細胞，但卻也會一 併殺死正常細胞；而以外科手術療法進行切除腫瘤時，無法消除殘存的癌細胞且無法阻止新癌體的生成。近幾年所發展出來的治療方法其策略仍然 以殺死癌細胞為主，這會使得在進行治療的同時，仍可能會造成對人體的傷害。抗癌藥物的研發是世界各大藥廠積極投入的計劃項目，但是至目前 為止西方醫學仍然尚未開發出可以有效控制癌細胞生長､極低副作用並且可以大規模延續癌症患者存活期間的藥物。 由於其抗癌策略絕大多數仍 然是殺死癌細胞，因此在進行治療的同時，不可否認地多半仍對於人體有程度不一的傷害性。另一方面，研究者開始發現有些高齡老人，其體內其 實早已到處充滿著癌細胞，但因為這些癌細胞處於所謂的「休眠狀態」中，並不對人體造成威脅。該等癌細胞甚至還有「長壽癌」之稱。這樣的現 象啟示了一種抗癌的新穎可能性，就是設法找尋出一種可使人體內的癌細胞停止在此「休眠狀態」之藥物；若此藥物果能奏效，因為人體並沒有細 胞被殺死，則很可能此種療法對於人體的各種副作用也可以降至最低。 近年來開始有研究嘗試將中草藥應用在癌症之治療上，進一步發現特定的 中草藥可能具有某種抗癌效果。且上述研究發現癌症是可以逆轉的，以啟動腫瘤細胞中之逆轉作用機制，讓癌細胞不表現腫瘤特性，甚至於恢復成 相當程度之正常細胞。本實驗室已經建立了癌症逆轉的模式，可以直接應用在中草藥上。YGK 有明顯的抑制腫瘤細胞生長及抑制病毒作用的效果，
且初步以中草藥 YGK 進行細胞試驗，結果顯示 YGK 具有癌症逆轉的特性。因此，我們選擇 YGK 做為我們此次計畫的中藥研究藥物。 本研究將 先測試 YGK 對於癌細胞之毒性及其腫瘤特性之影響與癌症逆轉之現象，再利用流式細胞儀來分析癌細胞之週期及其細胞自然死亡是否會受 YGK 之影響，進而探討 YGK 對癌細胞逆轉在動物模式活體試驗之評估，藉此達到逆轉癌細胞轉化成正常細胞､阻斷癌細胞擴散､防止癌細胞復發轉移､
