青少年在學校體驗的民主經驗有助於公共事務態度、社會關懷 態度和時事關心態度的養成。青少年在學校的民主體驗,老師是關 鍵性的推手,從公民知識的傳授,到如「公民養成方案」社會學習 的課程設計(劉秀嫚,2003),目的均在培養青少年的公民技能。
本篇研究結果顯示,老師與學生的關係品質和老師帶領班級的方法 本身,即能誘發公民潛能。如Flanagan(2003a)所言,老師的示範 和引導能促成青少年最真實的民主學習。老師在權威的位置上,以 尊重開放的態度,鼓勵意見表達的開放自由,引導班級或公共議題 的平等溝通,促成信任包容的班級關係,這些均是民主的示範。班 級同學來自不同家庭文化背景,同學間的異質性,是另一個民主體 驗的機會。在班級議題上,同學難免會從自身角度論述,討論過程 所經驗的自由表述、開放包容和尊重集體是另一個形式的公民經驗 學習。
本篇研究結果顯示師生關係和班級民主具有班級差異,意謂著 青少年在人際和班級間的民主體驗有因班級而不同的情形。如何協 助老師班級經營,使青少年能在高中體驗平等尊重、民主溝通,和 共同做決定的過程,促發老師關鍵性的推手角色,這值得關心青少 年公民議題者共同思考推展。

本篇研究結果顯示,行為困難或常與偏差同儕相處,不利於社 會責任態度或社會關懷態度的養成。協助學生偏差或適應問題是目 前學校輔導工作的主要內容(林萬億,2011)。行為困難是不尊重 學校、班級規範的一種表現,然而造成行為困難的原因有可能和自
我控制能力的發展有關,也有可能涉及學校、家庭或其他心理社會 因素。
學校輔導工作可兼融評估學生的個人、家庭和社區,與青少年 和其家庭、社區共同工作,結合一級、二級、三級預防資源,目的 在發展策略,協助青少年適應學校生活(林萬億、王靜惠,2010)。
適時介入有助於適時處理青少年的行為問題,不讓行為困難衍生擴 大,轉而變成心理上對同學、班級或學校的疏離感,或轉而認同有 類似行為問題的同儕。
行為困難尚屬於行為層次,但當青少年多與偏差同儕一起活動 時,則有可能在認知與情感上趨向於偏差同儕。認知行為理論認為 人類行為有其蘊含的認知基模(schemata)心理架構,認知基模的 形成是透過經驗內化的過程,這個基模會引導個人定位自己與自 己、自己和環境及自己和未來的關係(Vourlekis, 1991)。當經驗內 化到認知和情感的層次,行為改變的困難度會增加。學校輔導工作 能適時介入處理青少年未能遵循班規、校規的情形,透過適時介入,
避免青少年從單一的行為問題,轉變為多與偏差同儕互動,避免青 少年轉而在認知與情感上認同偏差行為。
本研究中男性青少年比起女性青少年有顯著較多的行為困難,
比較常和偏差同儕一起活動。或許青少年在認知與情緒發展的性別 差異(Lenroot et al., 2007; Luna & Sweeney, 2001),使男性青少年 在高中時期有較高風險容易涉入偏差或違法行為。在楊佩榮、王增 勇(2016)針對國高中生的研究中,發現男性青少年有較低的自我 控制,和較多的外向性打架、作弊、過動、容易分心的行為。男性 青少年在高中時期需要多一些包容、瞭解與協助,引導男性青少年 在體驗自我與群體的可能性時,學習自我的掌控與調節。

本研究探究高二學生學校經驗和公民態度的關聯性,研究結果 協助釐清學校經驗對公共事務態度、社會關懷態度、社會責任態度 和時事關心態度的影響。學術領域對青少年公民態度的探討較缺乏 有關學校經驗與公民態度的探究(Zaff et al., 2011b),本研究證實 青少年在學校中的行為困難、情感歸屬、學習態度、師生關係、偏 差同儕和班級民主這些經驗和青少年的公民態度具有關聯性,適當 陶冶學校經驗,能促進公民態度的養成。
本研究中所測量的學校經驗對四種形式公民態度的解釋變異量 介於.14 到.19 之間,意謂著行為困難、情感歸屬、學習態度、師生 關係、偏差同儕和班級民主雖能解釋部分個人公民態度的程度之 別,但尚有其他的影響因素是本研究沒能包含到的。未來研究可再 包含其他與學校生活相關的變項,進一步澄清學校經驗與公民態度 的關聯性;如本研究中師生關係品質對社會責任態度與時事關心態 度沒有明顯關聯性,然這並非意謂著老師對社會責任與時事關心態 度沒有影響力,未來研究可以考慮測量師生互動,測量老師於日常 和課堂上對學生的引導及學生的反饋,研究者認為在正向關係品質 的基礎之上,老師的身教與言教是公民態度的重要推力。另外,本 研究為相關研究設計,並非貫時性研究設計,研究結果僅能推估高 二學生當下的公民態度情形,無法推估學校經驗對青少年成年後公 民態度的影響。
本研究中的學習態度和公共事務態度的 Cronbach’s alpha 數值 偏低,皆為.68,Kline(1999)表示,當測量的是普遍一般性的行為 時,Cronbach’s alpha 數值接近.70 即符合內部一致性的信度標準,
尤其Cronbach’s alpha 的計算與題項數量有關,題項少時,Cronbach’s
alpha 的數值會偏低。本研究中的學習態度量表有 4 題,公共事務態 度量表有6 題,依據 Kline(1999),學習態度和公共事務態度內部 一致性信度尚屬可接受範圍。
本研究仍多有不足之處,有待先進持續探究與倡議。希望本研 究結果能提供教育、輔導、社工等青少年工作者一些促進青少年公 民態度養成的思考方向。
