本研究嘗試以引文分析方式,探究成大作者發表、引用及被引用之期刊概況、各出版 社期刊被使用的比例、Big Deal套裝期刊使用效益分析,以及期刊館藏對學術研究的支援 度等面向。分析發現,無論是成大發表、引用或被引用之期刊,館藏滿足率皆達80%以
型之差異。此外,本研究僅針對Web of Science所收錄之期刊論文進行分析,未來可與 Scopus資料作比較,或進一步分析博、碩士論文,以了解圖書館支援學生研究的程度,及 其引文分析之結果是否與教職員生所發表的文章有所不同。
雖然引文分析可以幫助圖書館更了解機構作者進行研究時所使用的期刊資源為何,並 能藉以調整館藏發展方向,使館藏更貼近作者研究所需,但引文分析仍有諸多的限制,應 用上仍必須謹慎考量。MacRoberts和MacRoberts(1989)指出引文分析的結果可能會受 到引文索引工具涵蓋的內容範圍所影響,且無法確定研究人員引用參考文獻之動機,以及 不同領域的研究人員會有不同的引用行為等。White(2019)也提到僅利用引文索引資料 庫進行引文分析可能的問題,單純使用Web of Science作為資料來源會排除那些未被資料 庫索引或收錄的出版品,這可能會導致新期刊的重要性或新興領域期刊的代表性不足。此 外,進行引文分析較大的問題是耗費人力與費時(本研究耗時數月),且沒有統一的分析 流程可依循參考,因此實際能有資源且周期性地進行引文分析的圖書館並不多。本研究期 望能藉由此次實作之經驗,逐步建立引文分析之比對流程與相關對照表,以作日後周期性 的分析與檢討,並列入館藏評估之參考,使大學圖書館館藏更能充分發揮其價值。
