The eclectic instruction is a potential way to combine grammar teaching and writing instruction. The PI part allows teachers to teach students grammar effectively since it directs students’ attention to perceive specific language elements and helps them comprehend or use the language accurately. The TBI part develops students’ writing ability communicatively by letting them apply what they learned in writing practices and reinforce certain language elements at the post-task stage. In fact, the eclectic instruction could not only make the

and motivation, as well as boost their ability to think in English. Moreover, teachers could help students prepare for English composition instruction in eighth or ninth grade rather than waiting until tenth grade. Furthermore, the eclectic instruction is a worthwhile method to practice the differentiate instruction of the 12-year compulsory education.
