In this thesis, we attempt to construct the ontology for the learning content management system of research papers and technical documents. Since the new concepts of the research papers grow up with contents, it is difficult for a predefined ontology to scope new concepts. We define Ontology crystallization problem is “how do we construct the ontology via community to achieve social agreement”. The
degree of social agreement is defined to estimate ontology. In order to achieve higher social agreement and continuously update the ontology for learning content management system. We propose an Iterative, Collaborative Ontology Construction (ICOC) scheme to solve ontology crystallization problem. With our experiments, it shows that the ontology constructed by ICOC scheme can achieve higher degree of social agreement
