In conclusion, the present study suggests that the number of correct responses during the first 30 seconds of fruit fluency could be a sensitive and effective cognitive marker in clinical fields. In addition, the GFA values of left IFOF, CC to temporal pole, and CC to hippocampus parts could also differentiate the MCI from the CN group. Moreover, the connectivity between frontal and temporo-parietal lobes were found to be involved in the category fluency task at the first 30 seconds. To
incorporate the sensitive parameter of the category fluency task and white matter microstructures as early markers which could bring promises for the early detection of AD and the early interventions for medications and cognitive rehabilitations.
Moreover, our study demonstrated that both the markers of semantic memory deficit and perirhinal white matter integrity were sensitive in detecting the subtle changes in the prodromal stage of AD.
