4. Major Suggestion
This project comes to several immediate strategies.
Immediate strategies:
1. The ductility capacity of steel special moment frame with non-structural RC wall should be reduced from the upper limit 4.0
according to the amount of walls.
2. The seismic performance of side-slit wall is better than the wall without slit, therefore, it is value to recommend to Engineers in practical structural design.
3. The width of the slit between RC wall and special moment frame of each floor should be determined properly to optimize the drift capacity of structure.
