4.2.4 Multi-multiple-choice Questions about Students’ Satisfaction with

Tablet PCs

There were two multi-multiple-choice questions about students’ satisfaction with Tablet PCs in the questionnaire. Students could choose more than one options in each question. According to the first question “Do you feel comfortable about going on the Net wirelessly with a Tablet PC? What are the reasons if you feel comfortable about going on the Net wirelessly with a Tablet PC?” (Table 10 &11) Most of the students (96.77%) feel comfortable about going on the Net wirelessly with a Tablet PC, but one of the students (3.23%) feel uncomfortable to use it. For

the reasons of their satisfaction with the wireless Network, a high percentage of the students (77.42%) expressed that they could move and go on the Net, even outside of the classroom. Many of the students (74.19%) appreciated that they did not have to connect any per lines for going on the Net with a Tablet PC. More than half of the students (54.84%) indicated that it was still very convenient to go on the websites out of the school even though they had to log in. Some of the students (38.71%) thought that it was very easy to get on line with their a Tablet PC. A Few of the students (29.03%) considered that the line was not easy to disconnected after getting on line with a Tablet PC.

Reasons for Satisfying with Tablet PCs (N=31)

Question a: What are the reasons if you feel comfortable about going on the Net wirelessly with a Tablet PC? of the students (93.55%) like to use the stylus of a Tablet PC, but two of the students (6.45%) do not like to use the stylus of a Tablet PC. For the reasons of satisfactions with the stylus, most of the students (83.87%) indicated that they could choose different kinds of pens to write on the screen. More than half of the students (64.52%) expressed that they could choose pens of different colors to write on their Tablet PCs. About half of the students (58.06%) reported that they could save their

eraser to erase a word when they made a mistake. Some of the students (38.71%) said that they could turn their handwriting into text. Only one student (3.23%) had a different opinion from the choices. The student expressed that the experience of drawing a picture on the screen of a Tablet PC was wonderful.

4.2.5 Multi-multiple-choice Questions about Difficulties of Using Tablet PCs There were two multi-multiple-choice questions about difficulties in using Tablet PCs on the questionnaire. The first question was “Why do you feel uncomfortable about going on the Net wirelessly with a Tablet PC?” (Table 14) Some of the students (38.71%) expressed that it was not convenient logging into websites outside of the school. Not many of the students (19.35%) indicated that the line was easy to be cut off after getting on. Few of the students (16.13%) reported that it was not easy to get on line. Only one student (3.23%) had another opinion.

This student reported that it was easy to run out of battery when he tried to get on line.

The second question was “Why do the students feel uncomfortable about the

that it was not easy to write words on the screen. Not many of the students (29.03%) complained that the words which were written with the stylus were not beautiful.

Four of the students (12.90%) offered other reasons. One expressed that the words easily went up where he wanted to write on. Another said that the words often suddenly disappeared. The other two students expressed that the stylus was often out of ink just like a real pen. Only two of the students (6.45%) thought that it was not easy to use an eraser to erase a word when they made a mistake.
