Thrips setipennis Steinweden & Moulton, 1930: 25-26.

Thrips (Isothrips) orientalis (Bagnall); Priesner, 1940: 54.

Female body length 1.6 mm on slide. brown, antecostal ridge on tergites II-VIII dark brown;

antennal segments I and II dark brown, same color as head, III and bases of IV and V light yellow, rest segments brown; forewings grayish brown; legs light yellow.

Interocellar setae situated a little bit behind anterior ocellus. Six pairs of postocular setae.

Antennae 7-segmented, segments III and IV with forked sense cone.

Pronotum with transverse striae, about 30 discal setae; 2 pairs of long setae on posteroangulars, 3 pairs of inner setae, median pair longest. Metanotum with obvious median reticulations and small inside wrinkles, median pair of setae situated behind anterior suture, without campaniform sensilla. Forewing with about 30 costal setae, upper vein with 7 basal setae, 8-10 distal setae, lower vein with 13-16 setae.
