Look for Kan Yu (Feng Shui) Information

Thomas Lee

I am a Geographic Information System consultant and Land Surveyor. My M.Sc. thesis in 1989 is a study of location and allocation model using GIS and linear programming to select a new hospital site. After that I started to learn Kan Yu ($&@) from a local Feng Shui Master in Hong Kong for a year. With so many years of self study, I found many interest topics in Kan Yu and totally different form to general understanding of Feng Shui. There is a lot of undiscovered stories and theories inside.

Kan Yu means Skymime and W G e o g r a p h y . This is a four dimension theory. Kan Yu have two main streams of study. The first is the topology and modelling of topography at one location related to human activities and against time. Secondly, the time theory derivated from Yi

(I

Ching or Book of Change,

that apply to environmental/Qi/energy prediction.

I am studying and doing the following work by my own in leisure time and look forward for any response from the reader:

(10)

-Kan Yu map collection

-Kan Yu map technique as an ancient map technology study -Geographic feature modelling in Kan Yu theory

-Time theory model of Kan Yu Derivation of time theory from Yi Jing (Binary Mathematical Model of EnvironmentaVEnergy Equalibrium System) to Kan Yu (Environmental/ Energy prediction model)

--Application of Kan Yu model in environment impact assessment (like correlation analysis of cancer occurrence and surround topographical feature and time) and socio- economic study (correlation analysis of business income/loss and surround topographical feature and time)

-Satelite image analysis of topography and comparison to Kan Yu map

-Three dimensional visualization and automatic detection to replicate the measurement and interpretation of Dragon Line (Ridgeline system) in Kan Yu (I have done the automatic detection using remote sensing system for Hong Kong government in a

planning study)

-The secret of Lo Shu (Book of Lo River) or so called Magic Square by mathematician -The mathematical transformation from A-Prior Eight Trigram to Lo Shu

-The Logic of 24 Mountains (technical term in Kan Yu direction measurement unit) in

the computation of Water and Mountain Star (technical term in Kan Yu direction measurement and Numerology)

-The history of

Kan

Yu

-Kan Yu book, article, map, web site collection

--Want to know friends interested in this topic but in more academic and scientific approach

Should anyone interest to know a little on my background, please visit http://www.hkstar.com/-starvsn and read the articles of

Kan

Yu presented in Yale University and other conferences and open seminars

I welcome any question or comment.
