網路(net)的起源：

ƒ 資料交換的需求

網際網路（Internet）的起源：

ƒ 網路和網路相互連接，不同的網路系統也具有不同的通訊協定。

網路種類：

ƒ ＬＡＮ區域網路: 區域網路 (Local Area Network) ，一個資料傳 輸系統，在不同的電腦主機之間透過網路作資料的交換、 訊息的 互通。有較高的資料傳輸率及較低的錯誤率。

ƒ ＷＡＮ廣域網路: 廣域網路 (Wide Area Network) 相對於區域網 路，其於地理位置上可以散佈至很大的距離，故亦可稱為長距離 網路。廣域網路的傳輸媒體通常較區域網路慢，在傳輸上有較高 的延遲，及較高的錯誤。

網路協定：

ƒ 不同廠牌的電腦要互通檔案或資訊，除了需要靠通信網路之外，

尚必需使用共通的語言，始能彼此互通並相互運作。所謂共通的 語言即是大家共同約定的協定 (Protocol)， 簡言之，即是用以規 範特定的資料傳輸格式、序列及偵錯的一組標準化規則。

定義實際傳輸資料的硬體設備的規範，像是纜線規格、

接頭尺寸、信號電壓、資料傳輸時序等等。

實體層 1

定義把傳輸資料分裝成資料封包的規範， 檢查資料傳輸 中是否有錯誤發生，執行資料傳送中的流量控制及鏈路 管理。

資料連 2 結層

定義虛擬電路的建立、維持和終止，封包交換的路由選 擇、擁塞控制等。

3 網路層

資料傳輸錯誤的偵測和復原，資料封包的 重行排列 4 傳輸層

網路管理、密碼辨識、簽到簽退、網路監控。

資料的壓縮還原、網路安全、檔案傳送。

TANet：台灣網際網路始祖，由教育部主管，使用者

包括學校和研究機構，係以學術研討為訴求。

ƒ

HiNet, SeedNet：SeedNet 是資策會承接經濟部的委 託而建立，主要目標在於透過公眾數據通訊設備的使 用，全面提昇國內軟體品質與生產力。HiNet 是由電 信局數據通訊所建立，其定位與前二者不同，任何人 都可以申請使用，沒有特殊的資格限制。
