The future application of virtual reality to the field of law enforcement training will have far-reaching implications. Simulated line-of-duty events could be designed to impress upon students the importance of the goals of officer survival training. A creative employment of gaming as a possible training tool should not be underestimated as “pop” science.
Gaming is an engaging and interactive method of training others and will have wide application in the coming years as it becomes embraced by many professions, including law enforcement.
