根據實驗結果證實 ,大蒜精油處理下可顯著降低大鼠血漿中 atorvastatin 與 其代謝物 2-hydroxy atorvastatin 的藥物濃度,主要經由調節藥物代謝酵素與膜轉運 蛋白之酵素、蛋白質與 mRNA 的表現。因此推論,大蒜精油如與 ATV 共同服用下,
可能與 ATV 的代謝產生交互作用,進而降低 ATV 降血膽固醇之藥效。
