本實驗成功設計出一套自我調適生長桿系統,並藉由活動度及中性區資料驗證 其生物力學特性與傳統外力控制生長桿相似。此系統於將來可能用來治療早發性 小兒脊椎側彎,維持良好的矯正效果並減少重複手術開刀的需求。此外於桿件應 變分析中,雖然發現自我調適生長桿組應變較金屬棒組來的大,但仍低於其破壞 條件,於將來改良設計時似乎不需過度顧慮。
實驗限制與未來展望
本研究之自我調適生長桿在設計上仍有許多進步的空間。例如在外形的部分,
自我調適生長桿的體積仍然過大,實際安裝在體內可能有凸出皮膚表面的問題;
在結構與材料的部分,未來將使用醫療級的材料製造,並經由材料測試量測其強 度。
另外,本研究穩定度測試使用的是體外脊椎側彎模型,無法驗證本研究之自我 調適生長桿在實際體內是否能夠隨著生長而延長。希望在未來能夠經由動物實驗,
驗證自我調適生長桿在體內是否能夠順利延長,並觀察體內環境對於自我調適生 長桿的影響。
