1. 在台灣北部的大屯火山地區大屯火山群之火山噴氣目前逸氣溫定。整體來說 氣體中的主要成份為水氣,除水之後則以CO2為主要成分,其次為硫化物(以 H2S 為主),另外還含有 N2和CH4,為典型的低溫火山氣體組成。

2. 從 1999 年到 2003 年之間,氣體成分上並沒有重大改變。然而,自從 2004 年 8 月開始,大油坑的氣體樣品在 HCl 含量以及 SO2/H2S 比率上有明顯的 變化。這些變異和大油坑噴氣孔的溫度上升有一致性的改變。同一時間,

3He/4He 比值顯示先下降之後又在短時間內回到原來的值。兩個可能的假設 來解釋大油坑所觀察到的異常現象:1)有新的岩漿加入原來系統中,2)區域 性的裂縫增加、增大造成這些異常現象。根據3He/4He 比值的變化以及缺乏 地表變形的證據,我們認為後者的解釋是較為合理可信的。

3. 其他採樣地區在過去數年僅有偶發的一些小區域性變化,然而在 2010 年,

包括龍鳳谷、硫磺谷噴氣、中山樓、小油坑、馬槽噴氣及溫泉氣泡、八煙、

四磺坪、焿子坪等地,都發生了同步 HCl 含量增加的現象。這段期間內並

沒有明顯的地震活動發生,噴氣口溫度亦沒有明顯地變化,而目前 HCl 含

量又回復到低點。

4. 我們將目前在大屯火山地區使用的採樣方法成功運用在菲律賓 Taal Volcano 和Negros Island。氣體組成結果顯示 Taal Volcano 和 Negros Island 的氣體組 成分皆以水氣為主,除水之後為 CO2 為主,和大屯火山地區以及世界上的 低溫火山噴氣口的成分組成類似,指示為蒸氣在淺處與沸水分離的結果。

5. 菲律賓的所有標本皆有相當高的氦同位素比值(3.0~8.1 Ra),亦指示大部分的 He 來自地函。而 Negros Island 北部的標本相較之下有較多的地殼混染訊號,

可能和接近碰撞帶有關。

6. Taal Volcano 標本中的 CO2的碳同位素比值(-5.36 to -4.65‰)指示 CO2為岩漿 來源。而Negros Island 標本中的 CO2的碳同位素比值(-1.87 ‰ to 0.11‰)較 MORB 的值(-6.5±2.5‰)更重,由 CO2-3He-4He 作圖中發現 Negros Island 標 本有多餘的 CO2加入火山逸氣系統中。這些 CO2的來源可能是岩漿在上升 過程中和Negro Island 下的中新世石灰岩地層交互作用而釋放出來。

7. 2008 年和 2010 年我們在大屯火山地區採集標本進行有機氣體分析。分析結

果顯示,大屯火山地區內大多數的採樣點的有機物成份分布趨勢和世界上以 熱液作用為主的地區相較之下大致相同,顯示大屯火山地區主要以熱液作用 為主;而在火山外圍的大埔則和低溫逸氣系統相符。然而大油坑地區和其他 地區都大不相同,顯示其底下還有更為複雜未知的機制在運行。

8. 大屯火山地區和其他地區相較之下有甲烷過量的問題,顯示甲烷可能有其他 的來源。根據甲烷中碳-氫同位素結果可以初步判斷甲烷為熱生成機制產生,

並且為高度成熟的深部有機物裂解而來。五指山層和木山層中富含煤質,是 重要的生油源岩,可能亦是大火山地區過量甲烷的來源。這些地層中的有機 質,經由火成或熱液作用使其過度成熟,產生過多的甲烷加入大屯火山溢氣 系統之中。
