一、參加會議經過
美國夏威夷時間晚臺灣時間 18 小時，為了配合飛機航班的安排，本人於四月 十五日下午二點卅分即搭機前往美國夏威夷檀香山(Honolulu)國際機場，途中於日 本東京成田機場轉機，於夏威夷時間十五日上午七點五十五分(為臺灣時間凌晨一點 五十五分)抵達，於抵達檀香山國際機場後旋即再轉機至卡胡魯伊(Kahului)機場，於 夏威夷時間十五日上午十一點廿分(為臺灣時間清晨五點廿分)抵達，抵達時精神已 相當疲憊，還好已有預約 Shuttle Bus (但是很貴)，等待數十分鐘後即搭約一小時之 巴士至下榻旅館 Ka’anapali Beach Hotel 休息，由於入住 Check-in 於下午三點卅分後 開始，我是累倒於沙發上，於 Check-in 完後，就先行回房補眠，連晚餐都簡單打發。
十六日上午就步行約十五分鐘至會議開會地點 Westin Maui Resort & Spa Hotel，先領取會議相關資料。本次 NOMS 會議於四月十六日開始至四月廿日結束，
其中第一天安排 Tutorials，Workshops 以及 Mini-Conferences，我先是聽取了 MC6 Future Internet 之報告與討論，其間我有對論文報告人發問，也獲得相當程度之回覆 與討論，會後則於 Westin 之夏威夷風味之餐廳用餐(如下圖)。中餐之後，我就隨意 於會場內四處走一走與看一看，認識清楚周遭的環境。

第二天安排 Keynotes，Panels 以及 Technical Sessions。我們的論文是被安排在 Technical Session TS4 (Sensor Network Management)，論文報告的時間是在四月十七 日下午 14:15-15:45，所以，上午時段我是在 Ka’anapali Beach Hotel 做報告前之準備。
這一個 Session 內有三篇論文，所以，每一篇論文可報告約卅分鐘。在此 Session 之 中，第一篇論文是由巴西來的博士畢業生報告，其報告完後，我提問兩個問題。而 我是第二位報告，報告情形順暢，並獲得三個問題的提問。大致上來說，整個 Session 的進行算是緊湊。此 Session 後，我也到 Poster 區去晃一晃，認識來自 IBM 之彭昶 興博士、中華電信之涂元光博士以及臺灣大同大學之廖文華教授等。
第三天安排Keynotes，Panels以及Technical Sessions。在未做論文發表時，我亦 聽了幾個與目前我的實驗室內的研究相關之Panels與Sessions，包括TS10 Wireless Network Management、Panel P3 (The future internet: IPv6 Internet – Impact on the enterprise and network management)。整體而言，NOMS論文在網路管理、網路安全 等領域上提供相當好的交流場所，讓我有許多收穫。下午時段，我巧遇來是美國楊 百翰大學之鄧家棋教授，連同涂元光博士一起交談，相談甚歡﹗本日晚上六點半起 大會舉辦夏威夷式之晚宴(LUAU)，大夥歡樂參與，其間也有夏威夷之舞蹈表演(如 下圖)。
由於，行程緊湊且須長途飛行，我於晚上八點即先行離席，準備隔天(十九日清 晨五點)起搭回台，所以，最後兩日之會議就沒再繼續參與。約上午七點卅分，我搭 機自卡胡魯伊(Kahului)機場飛到夏威夷檀香山(Honolulu)國際機場，再自檀香山 (Honolulu)國際機場轉飛至日本東京成田機場，最後，於臺灣時間廿日傍晚約五點 半飛抵桃園國際機場，回到家時已約七點半，由於時差原故，當日晚間九點即就寢，
完成此次學術會議之所有行程。雖然旅途辛勞，但是感謝上天，旅途平安，會議參 與順利。
二、與會心得
我們此次論文所安排的 Session 提供了豐富的論文討論，其中在我們論文所屬 的 Session 中，我與 Session Chair 討論了一些問題，也相談甚歡！
而在大會 Coffee Break 中，我是遇到來自 IBM 之彭昶興博士、美國楊百翰大學 之鄧家棋教授、中華電信之涂元光博士以及臺灣大同大學之廖文華教授等等，足顯

國內外研究在國際會議論文的參與相當踴躍。此外，我也新結識幾位巴西、韓國以 及中國之學者或教授。因此，此次 NOMS 國際會議場合上，我是有機會與相關研 究人員交流，增進彼此的通聯及合作的機會，這是我參與國際會議感到收穫最大之 處。

All submitted papers underwent a rigorous review process with a minimum of 3, but usually 4 reviews for each paper. After author rebuttals were submitted, TPC
discussions took place on-line through the JEMS conference management system and
in a face-to-face TPC meeting held October 25 in Paris, France. Every paper has been discussed taking into account its content, the reviews and the submitted rebuttal.
Out of 210 paper submissions, 55 (26.2%) were accepted for the regular Technical track.

Based on the reviewers recommendations, you are invited to submit a long version of your paper - not to exceed 8 pages - to appear in the NOMS
