The final chapter presents limitations of the study and suggestions for future study. Firstly, time constraint limited the number of books students read in class and limited discussion time during class since the program only last for one semester.

Some students responded that they expected to read more books in this class but actually they could only finish one book after the whole semester. Moreover, students felt they had more to share during the discussion and sharing section in class, but had insufficient time for them to fully discuss. Additionally, LCs are unlikely to improve

students’ English reading comprehension within only one semester. Secondly, the small size of the study sample may be difficult to generalize to all or other conditions.

Students’ perceptions are also likely to differ by grade and major. Therefore, as for suggestion for further research, it is recommended to conduct similar studies with larger samples, with different grade levels, as well as at other universities or contexts.

In addition, group evaluation forms could be included since it was really difficult to keep allocate “fair” workloads for group work, as evidenced by the fact that some students complained about their groupmates not actively participating in team work.

Thus, the use of such group evaluation forms would make it much easier for teachers to gauge students’ participation in class.
