EXPLORING THE EFFECT OF PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN HOSPITAL AND COMMUNITY HOME VISIT SERVICES FOR MENTAL HEALTH

Abstract Content: The purpose of this study was to explore the effectiveness of partnership between hospital and
community home visit services for mental health. The quasi-experimental method was used in this study. Participants were chosen by purposive sampling from a psychiatric hospital and public health centers. The experimental group includes those who were undergo the partnership model; the control group were not. The pre-test and post-test research design were both in the experimental and control group. The questionnaires include the structure questionnaires
(demographics, disease attributes, care and occupation attributes), the satisfaction scales of the home visiting services (for patients and major caregivers), the major caregivers’ load scales of caring patients, the work satisfaction and workload scales of the home visiting services (for nurses). Data were analyzed by percentage, standard deviation, number of times distribution, chi-square test, and independent and dependent sample t test. Result of pre-test showed that the situation of partnership between hospital and community home visit services for mental health. In the following year, it will be revised according to the outcome in the first year and evaluate the effect of the interventional revised plan. Finally, an effective local model of the partnership between hospital and community mental health home visiting services will be set up for providing reference to related organizations.
