, The University is seeking to drive forward several key areas:

EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT

HKUST's holistic approach provides an all-round student experience. Opportunities include interdisciplinary courses, student exchanges, early research experience, internships, and a co-op program.

RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT

The University undertakes proactive recruitment of top global researchers. State-of-the-art equipment and funding support are available. Areas of focus include nano-science and nano-technology; life science and biotechnology; electronics, wireless and information technology; environment and sustainable development; energy; and management education and research. Collaborative activities with government and industry help to develop science and technology in Hong Kong while international and Mainland China partnerships extend HKUST's research reach.
