一、設計理念：
1. 參考《數學新世界》教材，利用優點卡及缺點卡作為引入，讓學生透過良好的鷹架學習整 數加減法的概念，最後再以應用問題讓學生了解數學在生活上的應用。
2. 本課程預計為七年級的第二堂課，在第一堂課中老師已介紹「負代表相反的意思」，並認 識負整數。
3. 語言安排的部分，考量雙語教學是期待利用英語來理解學科內容，並考量數學符號是無關 乎語言，故將英語在課堂的比重調高，但七年級所學英文有限，故英文須使用較簡單之單 字及文法(現在簡單式)。
4. 預設學生本身已熟悉 100 以下的數字及 good(好)、bad(壞)等兩個單字，並於第一堂課已學 會positive(正)、negative(負)、opposite(相反)等三個單字。文法部分已了解現在簡單式。
5. 課程先以中文簡單講述情境，後續的概念解說以英文呈現，再以中文補充提醒需注意之 處。最後的應用問題，考量七年級學生的英文程度，故以中文講述，而題目中表格的閱讀 無關乎語言，故題目仍以英文呈現。
6. 可以用綠色的圈圈代表優點卡，紅色的圈圈代表缺點卡，在第一題的第 1 小題透過畫 12 個 綠色圈圈及8 個紅色圈圈，一個一個劃掉表示抵銷，最後剩下 4 個綠色圈圈，引導出抵銷 後剩4 張優點卡。
7. 第三大題先一樣使用綠色圈圈及紅色圈圈來代表優點卡及缺點卡，藉此引導學生思考正負 數的加減，尤其是第2 小題，讓學生思考兩個都是缺點卡時是否可以抵銷。

Amy has 12 good cards and 8 bad cards. After the bad cards offset the good cards, how many cards does Amy have? We can use a drawing (or a diagram) to solve this problem. Let’s use a green circle for a good card and a red circle for a bad card. Amy has 12 good cards, so we can draw 12 blue circles here. Amy also has 8 bad cards, so we will draw 8 red circles here.
After offsets, how many cards (and what kind) are there? Four good cards. 12 張優點卡和 8 張 缺點卡抵銷完後剩下4 張優點卡。

我們試著把這個寫成用數學來表達。如果我們將一張優點卡就記為正1，那麼 1 張
缺點卡可以記為什麼？負1。所以上面的式子可以如何簡記？
12 good cards＋ 8 bad cards ＝ 4 good cards.
接下來我們用正數和負數來表示優點卡和缺點卡。12 good cards can be written as positive 12. 8 bad cards can be written as negative 8. 4 good cards can be written as positive 4.
So, we have “(＋12)＋(－8)＝(＋4)”. The positive symbol can be omitted. We can write as “12
＋(－8)＝4”. 所以我們知道 12 加上－8 等於 4。
五、引入語言使用建議：
第1 段 為了讓學生進入情境，故以中文敘述為主，英文的目的是為了讓學生了解等一
下所用到的優點卡及缺點卡分別對應到“good card”及“bad card”。
第2 段
將題目轉化為符號，因為所使用的詞彙及文法皆不難，故以英文敘述為主，最 後再以中文做總結。但教學時需搭配板書的符號操作，以減低學生的學習負 荷。
第3 段
為了讓學生進入學習情境，先用中文簡單敘述稍後要將優點卡及缺點卡轉化為 符號，再用英文帶學生在過程中進行轉換。用英文轉換完後，再用中文簡單小 結剛剛所做的操作
注意事項 因為七年級學生英語能力有限，故語言使用時須留意避免長時間的英文。
