一、設計理念：
1. 參考《數學新世界》教材，利用優點卡及缺點卡作為引入，讓學生透過良好的鷹架學習整 數加減法的概念，最後再以應用問題讓學生了解數學在生活上的應用。
2. 本課程預計為七年級的第三堂課，前一堂課已學會整數的加法，並了解本節引入優點卡、
缺點卡規則。
3. 語言安排的部分，考量雙語教學是期待利用英語來理解學科內容，並考量數學符號是無關 乎語言，故將英語在課堂的比重調高，但七年級所學英文有限，故英文須使用較簡單之單 字及文法(現在簡單式)，故學習單中的字句難度皆經過調整。
4. 課程先以中文簡單講述情境，後續的概念解說以英文呈現，再以中文補充提醒需注意之 處，小結論部分亦使用中文。
5. 建議利用實體卡片操作“giving”和“taking away”這兩個動作，讓學生可藉由動作增進對老師 講述英文的理解。
6. 國內教科書康軒、翰林、南一等三個版本介紹整數的減法皆利用計算溫度差，觀察規律發 現a－b＝a＋(－b)。
7. 國外有課本是利用“zero pairs”的概念，也就是如果同時增加一個＋1 和－1 不會影響答案結 果。例如正數為綠色積木，負數為紅色積木，計算「5－7」時，一開始有 5 個綠色積木，
減7 指的是要拿掉 7 個綠色積木，但因為綠色積木不夠拿，所以就增加兩組 zero pairs，也 就是增加2 個綠色積木及紅色積木。此時有 7 個綠色積木及 2 個紅色積木，所以拿走 7 個 綠色積木，會剩下2 個紅色積木，也就是－2，所以 5－7＝－2。國內目前亦有老師使用此 方法教整數的減法。

得老師可以怎麼做呢？我們能不能用拿走的方式，既然Tom 身上還有卡，我們應該要

So, we find “giving 3 good cards” is same as “taking away 3 bad cards”. 我們可以怎 麼用數學式子來表示？得到我們應該會用什麼符號？用加號。那拿走呢？用負號。所
以得到一張優點卡，我們可以表示為「加正1」，拿走一張缺點卡，我們可以表示為
「減正1」。回到上面的問題。We can use “positive 3”to express “3 good cards”, so we write use “plus positive 3” to express “giving 3 good cards”. We can use “negative 3” to express “3 bad cards” , so we use “minus 3 bad cards” to express “taking away 3 bad cards” . And then, “plus positive 3 equals minus negative 3”

One day, the teacher wants to give him 2 bad cards, but the teacher doesn’t have any bad cards. What can the teacher do instead? Taking away 2 good cards. So, we find “giving 2 bad cards” is same as “taking away 2 good cards”. Then, how can we express “giving 2 bad cards”? Plus negative 2. And how can we express “taking away 2 good cards”? Minus positive 2. So “plus negative 2 equals minus positive 2”.

我們從這兩個例子可以看到原本加法可以改成減法，當然反過來減法也可以改成 加法，但是直接把加號改成減號就好了嗎？不是，我們剛才要得到優點卡時，也可以 改成拿走缺點卡，所以得到和拿走的東西要是相反的。所以加法改成減法的時候，是 要改成減掉相反數。例如剛剛「加正3」應該要改成「減負 3」，「加負 2」要改成「減 正2」。
五、引入語言使用建議：
第1 段 先透過中文複習前一節課所學，並協助學生進入情境。英文的目的是為了讓學
生了解等一下所用到的優點卡及缺點卡分別對應到“good card”及“bad card”。
第2 段 將題目轉化為符號，因為所使用的詞彙及文法皆不難，故先以英文敘述情境，
再用中文引導學生思考，並以英文講出最後的答案。
第3 段
先用英文描述剛剛的結論，並以中文引導學生將情境轉化為數學符號，並以英 文做出最後的結論。老師可透過實體卡片操作“giving”和“taking away”這兩個動 作，讓學生可藉由動作增進對老師講述英文的理解。
第4 段 此情況與前面雷同，故整段以英文敘述，學生應能順利類推。
第5 段 以中文講述此段落重點目標，以確認學生能達成概念理解。
注意事項 因為七年級學生英語能力有限，故語言使用時須留意避免長時間的英文。
