Subject: This is to announce the average minimum monthly salary for foreigners hired to perform professional and technical jobs; the requirement which shall take effect from June 14, 2012.
Legal Basis: Article 8 of the “Qualifications and Criteria Standards for Foreigners Undertaking the Jobs Specified under Article 46.1.1 to 46.1.6 of the Employment Service Act”
Announcement:
1. The average minimum salary for foreigners hired to perform professional and technical jobs shall not be less than TWD47,971, provided that any of the events listed below is excluded:
(1) The research assistant hired by public or certified private colleges (or above) or academic institutions to undertake projects, whose monthly compensation is above the bachelor or master degree and at first-year level set out under
“National Science Council Reference Scale of Grants for Full-time Research Assistant Undertaking Project”.
(2) From the school year of 2011, foreign students, overseas Chinese students, and other Chinese students, whose average salary is above TWD37,619.
2. The Notice of the CLA dated November 9, 2005 (Ref.
Lao-Zhi-Gui-Zi-0940506372) shall cease to apply on this day.
