課 程 目 標 This elective course serves two purposes. First, it discusses the intricate relationships among Comparative Literature, Semiotics and Hermeneutics.
Second, it examines the paradigm-shifts in Comparative Literature Studies over the past fifty years and interprets that part of history in terms of the concept of crisis. The critical and historical survey will show how ‘poetics’ was introduced into our discipline in the 60s and 70s and how this new orientation was to effect a qualitative change in Comparative Literature.
