團體音樂治療於改善失智症老人症狀成效之探討
The effects of Group Music Therapy in Dementia Patient’s Symptoms Improvement

目的：本研究旨在探討團體音樂治療於改善失智症老人症狀在躁動行為之成效。
方法：本研究為實驗性研究，採隨機取樣。實驗組接受為期六週的團體音樂治療
介入措施，每次半小時，每週兩次，共計12 次之團體音樂治療，而對照組維持
一般日常生活活動。並於音樂治療介入前一週，音樂治療介入後的第三週、第六
週及活動結束一個月後追蹤進行測量，以GEE 分析探討兩組在組別及測量時間
之差異。
結果：實驗組參與音樂治療的失智症老人，在介入措施後第三週、第六週及活動 結束一個月後追蹤，躁動行為皆有減少（p < .001）。
結論：音樂治療能減少失智症老人躁動行為的症狀，建議可將團體音樂治療納 入機構常規活動中。
英文摘要
Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of Group Music therapy on agitated behavior in elders with dementia.
Method: Dementia patients were randomly allocated to either a music therapy group, or an usual care group. The music therapy group received 30 minutes of music intervention twice a week for 6 consecutive weeks. Degree of agitation were evaluated one week before intervention, 3rd and 6th of intervention and one month after invention. GEE analysis was adopted to evaluate the effect of music therapy.
Results: Agitated behavior of participants in the music therapy group was
significantly reduced after three weeks of intervention compared to that of the control group(p < .001); the effect of group music therapy persisted one month after
intervention.
Conclusion: Group music therapy reduced dementia patients’ symptoms of agitation. It is recommended that group music therapy can
be incorporated into care routine of dementia institutions.
