摘要
IEEE International Conference on Mobile Data Management 2011(MDM 2011) 研討會為世界著名國際研討會之一，今年開會地點在瑞典 Lulea。由於本會議為 國際會議中以行動資料管理分析技術與相關應用為主題的最重要研討會之ㄧ，因 此每年均吸引來自世界各地之專家學者與會。由於本會議已具盛名，今年仍吸引 了世界各國在本領域之學界及業界專家出席，出席之專家學者包含了美國、歐 洲、韓國、台灣、大陸等地之著名大學及研究機構。此次 MDM 2011 會議是從 6 月 6 日開始到 6 月 9 日結束。在 6 月 6 日的上午大會舉辦了一場正式開幕儀式後， 進行了一場 Keynote Speech, 隨後即展開一連串的 workshop 及 Tutorial。此次會 議中包含了相當多的重要主題，範圍包含行動資料管理分析技術與相關應用的發 展與近來相當熱門之創新研究及應用議題。本人有一篇論文在本會議中發表，安 排在 6 月 7 日; 另外亦於 6 月 9 日擔任一場 Panel(主題: Challenges for mobile data management in the era of cloud and social computing)之 Panelist 發表演說，獲得與 會專家學者熱烈之迴響，也得到許多寶貴的建議，將可使本研究做更深入之拓 展。
Abstract
IEEE International Conference on Mobile Data Management 2011(MDM 2011) is an important international conference in the world. In this year, it was hold at Lulea of Sweden. Since the main research fields of the MDM 2011 are the techniques and applications of mobile data management, many researchers in the relevant fields attended the conference from the world wide. Due to the importance of the MDM conference, many experts came from different countries, including America, Europe, Korea, Taiwan and China. As well, corporations whose focus is on mobile data management and its applications also attended MDM-2011 this year. MDM 2011 was held from June 6th to 9th. After an inauguration of the conference on June 6th, workshops and tutorials with different research topics were progressed following a keynote speech. MDM contains many important topics, and some of them are focused on mobility analysis techniques and its new directions, while some others are emphasized on the applications based on well-developed techniques. In this year, my paper was presented in the session on June 7. Meanwhile, I was also invited as a panelist to give a talk at a panel on June 9. Through attending this conference, I obtained valuable feedbacks and suggestions from participants, which are very helpful for extending my future researches.

一、目的
IEEE International Conference on Mobile Data Management (MDM)為國際重 要研討會。今年 MDM 2011 會議在瑞典 Lulea 舉行從 6/6~6/9 為期四天的議程， 吸引了世界各國在本領域之學界及業界專家出席，出席之專家學者包含了美國、 歐洲、韓國、台灣、大陸等地之著名大學及研究機構使得會議內容，兼具深度與 廣度，實為一高品質之國際研討會。本人有一篇論文在本會議中發表，安排在 6 月 7 日; 另外亦於 6 月 9 日擔任一場 Panel 之 Panelist 發表演說。故本人主要目 的除了發表論文之外，更希望與各國研究學者交換意見與尋求合作機會。
二、過程
此次MDM 2011會議是從6月6日開始到6月9日結束。在6月6日的上午大會舉 辦了一場正式開幕儀式後，進行了一場 Keynote Speech, 隨後即展開一連串的 session 及Tutorial。此次會議中包含了相當多的重要主題，範圍包含行動資料管 理分析中相關理論的發展與近來相當熱門之創新研究及應用議題：- Adaptability and stability of pervasive computing systems - Context-aware computing and location-based services - Data management in sensor and mobile ad hoc networks - Data management in mobile peer-to-peer networks - Data Management in the Mobile Cloud

Mobile Data Mining & Management之知名學者。經過交流討論後，產生許多可合 作研究議題，並已開始與 Prof. Fosca Giannotti 討論有關 trajectory mining 方面 議題之合作研究。
