Taiwan Excellence Cheers for 2020 CPBL Taiwan Series!
As the title sponsor of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) this year, the Ministry of Economic Affair's (MOEA) Taiwan Excellence awards cheered for the teams going head to head for the championship title at the 5th game of the season.
Taiwan's effective pandemic control efforts have afforded Taiwan's professional baseball league to be the first in the world to resume play, which has been great promotion for the industry and national profile. The MOEA and Taiwan Excellence are seizing the publicity opportunity created by this worldwide sensation by putting the finest Taiwanese industries and products on display at this year's CPBL games.
The 5th championship game played on the 5th of this month cheered on as Minister Mei-Hua Wang threw the symbolic first pitch to wish both teams good luck. Taiwan Excellence also held a souvenir giveaway for baseball fans who checked-in on Facebook to take home a keepsake from the Taiwan CPBL games.
Earlier in the year-long campaign, the MOEA worked with one of the baseball teams, the Rakuten Monkeys, in organizing the "Taiwan Excellence x Rakuten Monkeys Magic Party", where Taiwan Excellence products were put on display at pop-up markets at the stadium. An element of surprise was added

when a Taiwan Excellence hot air balloon showed up to impress spectators.
The Taiwan Excellence Awards were established by the MOEA in 1993 to identify and give publicity to Taiwan's outstanding industries. Awards represent the highest honor and the winning Taiwan-made products reflect excellence in R&D, design, quality, and marketing.
The 433 awarded products this year mostly feature sustainability, AI and network automation, and big data analytics, highlighting the innovative value of Taiwan's industries. Winners can display the Taiwan Excellence logo and are showcased at the Taiwan Excellence Online Pavilion.
