第四節 後續研究建議
衰弱是不同於疾病或失能，可能是疾病的一個前趨變化，故若可及早偵測出有這類 變化的老人，給予適當介入並修正或治療其危險因子，可阻止後續疾病或失能狀況，甚 至回復至較健康狀態。所以若能發展簡易量表，簡化評估過程，讓一般民眾也能自我篩 檢，進而將衰弱篩檢普及化，不僅是在醫療院所，並擴展至社區，早期發現具衰弱特徵 的老人。
本研究針對人口特性、身體功能、心理及認知功能、日常生活功能探討衰弱之顯著 相關性，住院衰弱老人比例高，研究的結果可以幫助健康照護者了解影響住院老年人衰 弱的相關因素，並作為擬定相關照護計畫的參考。未來若能針對衰弱老人之照護方式持 續進行探討，發展有效的預防性介入措施，對於未來高齡社會照護，則會有更精進的照 護措施，長者會有更好的功能與生活品質，減輕無數個人及家庭負荷，造福社會國家。
