運用三維影像可以真正的落實以三度空間立體的角度來觀察並 分析一立體的物體,效果優於傳統的二維資料許多,細膩且全面的分 析顏面狀況,讓研究者可以得到更多過去無法得到的資料數據,有助 於學術上的研究並可回饋於臨床治療。

本研究的標的在於黏著矯正器後“瞬時”的顏面變化,接下來就 是在治療的各個階段記錄外觀的變化,例如在拔牙矯正治療上的“退 犬齒”、“退前牙”和完成階段,勢必可藉三維雷射掃瞄記錄得到更 多的資訊,如此我們便可收集完整治療過程的顏面變化資料,無論在 研究或呈現讓患者了解上,都會令人感到耳目一新!

除了能以此方法記錄矯正過程到結束的變化,也同樣能記錄生長 發育的顏面變化供研究,操作簡單就能得到豐富的資料,但是唯一的 缺憾在於整套設備的費用仍高,這也是目前要推廣此記錄分析法不易 的重要因素,未來若能價格合理,相信有更多領域的學者會投入以三 維雷射掃瞄為基礎的研究。
