創造與設計建物模型。SketchUp 具有的功能特性確實能滿足這三種建模模式的 需求，特別是在直覺式創造與設計建物模型模式中更凸顯出 SketchUp 易於操 作、能輔助使用者思考的特性。由於 SketchUp「建模如繪製手稿」般的直覺式 操作特性，讓研究者能將設計與建模的過程交織在一起，具體地將腦海中的想法 建構出來，再透過觀察 3D 模型進一步調整設計，同步完成設計與 3D 模型建製。
三、 SketchUp 特有的樣式表現技法確實能提升作品的品質
於 SketchUp 是個開放編輯軟體，使用者可透過 SketchUp Ruby API（應用程式設 計介面）編寫指令碼，建立自己所需的繪圖工具和新功能。使用者可在 Extension Warehouse（擴充插件倉庫）互相分享這些擴充功能，進而發展出新的建模技巧。二、 透過 Style Builder 建立新的樣式
本案例所套用及修改的樣式皆為 SketchUp 內建預設所提供的範例，若想更 進一步新增表現風格，可透過 Style Builder 自行編輯筆觸效果，建立屬於自己的 獨特樣式。
