工作記要：
本人於 2007 年 8 月 26 日至 29 日至日本東京早稻田大學與東京大學拜訪，
參訪，此行系由早稻田大學商學部市田敏啟教授(Toshihiro Ichida)安排。
Toshihiro 畢業於日本東京大學經濟學部與美國哥倫比亞大學經濟學博士，
專長為國際經濟學。
早稻田大學創校於 1882 年，至今已有 125 年，為一甚具規模的綜合型大學，
創校校長 Okuma Shigenobu 曾在明治時間擔任日本外相與首相。創校時有 三個系，擴展至今已有 13 個大學部(undergraduate schools)，21 個研究學部 (Graduate/Professional Graduate Schools)，以及 2 所附屬高中，2 所附屬藝術 建築學校。在 2007 年大學部共有 46,034 位學生，研究部有 6,475 位碩士班，
1,985 位博士班學生。在國際學生方面，共有 2,368 人，其中亞洲學生有 1,901 人，歐洲 207 人，北美洲 180 人，其餘來自中南美，中東與非洲。
早稻田大學商學部(School of Commerce)除了修讀簿記原理、基礎經濟學、
基礎數學等基礎科目外，並提供不同領域的專門科目包括經營、會計、貿 易、金融、經濟、產業以及綜合科目例如商事法、公司法、社會學。
政治經濟學部包括政治學科、經濟學科以及國際政治經濟學科。該校國際 政治經濟學部和台大社科院有學術合作協議，每年互派有交換學生，雙方
承認學生在台大與早稻田的修課學分。目前該校交換學生主要是至美國與 中國修讀，台大在爭取早稻田交換學生仍有努力的空間。
經濟學科的教授研究領域包括理論經濟、計量經濟、經濟史、環境經濟學、
國際經濟、勞動經濟與產業經濟學。
在訪問期間，除了和 Toshihiro 討論雙方學術合作外，他亦安排他在哥倫比 亞大學的泰國同學，Kiatipong Ariyapruchya 博士見面。Ariyapruchya 博士目 前在泰國中央銀行擔任 Senior Economist，今年秋季即轉至美國 Washington DC，國際貨幣經金(IMF)擔任研究員。
另外，Toshihiro 教授亦安排本人參訪東京大學經濟學部與東京大學校園。
